City of Pontiac Blexting Registration

Let's help survey the City of Pontiac!

We are seeking volunteers to walk our neighborhoods and photograph and rank each property, also known as "Blexting" or Blight Texting. You will need to download a free mobile app on a smartphone or tablet to conduct the survey. Equipment will not be provided so you must bring a smartphone or tablet with data service. You must be 18 years old or accompanied by an adult. Each day of service will start with training at Pontiac City Hall at 9:00am on the use of the app and ranking scale.

Please dress appropriately for the weather. Surveying will occur rain or shine. You will be sent out in groups of at least two people. Each route is expected to take two to three hours.

Please register so organizers know how many volunteers to expect.

I agree to waive, release and discharge the City of Pontiac and its elected and appointed officials, officers, staff, agents, employees and volunteers from all liability, damages, injuries, claims or demands on account of injury to me, including death, whether caused by the City, me, or any other individual arising out of or in any way connected to surveying the City of Pontiac. I have read and voluntarily agree to this Waiver of Liability. This Waiver of Liability constitutes the entire agreement. There are no other agreements modifying its terms. I acknowledge that no one has made any representations to me which have not been expressly stated herein and that there are no understandings or agreements which are not included in this Waiver of Liability. Any modifications to this Waiver of Liability must be made in writing and signed by me and a duly authorized officer of the City and must specifically refer to and expressly amend this Waiver of Liability.
