The Michigan Children's Law Center (MCLC) is a Michigan non-profit, tax exempt corporation which provides legal services to children who have been neglected or abused or who have been charged with delinquent behavior. Its mission is to advocate for the safety and well-being of children in the courts and through other programs and services.

MCLC founders Fred Gruber and Amy Hartmann had the opportunity to work closely with the late Daniel J. Wright, Director of Child Welfare Services at the State Court Administrative Office. In recognition of Mr. Wright’s sincere and unwavering dedication to children’s issues, the MCLC is pleased to announce the Daniel J. Wright Foster Youth Scholarship.

The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a foster youth in Ingham County who plans to attend college in the fall of 2013.

Thank you for taking the time to nominate a deserving foster youth.
