Live Healthy School Food Survey for Parents |
Live Healthy needs your input!
Live Healthy is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, inspiring and connecting Nevada County families to fresh, local, seasonal food. Your child may have participated in our garden stands, farm field trips, Harvest of the Month fruit and veggie tastings or classroom visits from guest chefs.
We are currently working with Grass Valley Child Nutrition Services (GVCNS), who runs the Central Kitchen that provides meals for 11 of our school districts, and Nevada County schools to take a close look at our current school meal program, with the goal of serving meals made from fresh, whole foods that prepare our students to learn.
A critical component of the project is gathering input from parents, students, and school staff. We have created short (no more than ten minutes) online surveys for each of these groups. Please take a few minutes to respond to the following questions, and encourage your child to fill out the student version of the survey (grades 5-8 only).
Completing the survey gives you the chance to win a $50 grocery gift certificate OR a month of FREE school lunches! One winning entry will be randomly selected from all entries received by 5pm on Friday, May 31.
