4J Special Education: How are we doing? How could we improve?

Eugene School District 4J is reviewing how special education services are currently delivered and how this system of services could be strengthened as we plan for the immediate and long-term future. 4J Education Support Services department leaders want to hear your thoughts.

Earlier this spring, the district held a series of listening sessions to hear directly from key stakeholders, including community agencies, special education teachers and parents, about current service delivery and ideas for the future. Now we want to hear from you.

This survey is based on what we heard from participants in the listening groups about what works well, what barriers they have encountered, and what could improve special education services and families’ experiences. It asks you to rate your experiences, perceptions and opinions about these items, and invites you to add items that aren’t already listed.

The survey takes about 10–20 minutes to complete. Parents, students, teachers and community members, including those who participated in the listening sessions, are invited to provide input through the survey.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences of special education services. The district will use your input in planning for future improvements in special education services.
