I am concerned my business may be forced to close

I am hopeful that we can still attract customers but I fear I will have to lay off staff and operate a smaller business in future

* 5. One of the options is that domestic households will need to have an Energy Performance Certificate of C or above, otherwise they will recieve a payment of 9p/kWh. (Note 86% of properties are below this threshold at present, and the average cost of upgrades is £2.5 - 14k.)
What is your view on this?

The majority of our domestic customers already have an EPC of C or above, or if not we will be happy to assist or advise them how to acheive this

Energy efficiency is currently not something our domestic customers routinely address beforehand, therefore we anticipate this slowing the market

Confidence and trust has been established that DECC listens to and understands this industry and its needs

DECC could do better, but I appreciate it takes time to get to grips with a very different type of technology and poor initial modelling

DECC Ministers have had plenty of time to iron out their issues with the scheme - the lack of sensitivity to the industry’s needs for transparency, longevity and certainty is alarming
