What is Agritourism?
Agritourism is “a commercial enterprise on a working farm conducted for the enjoyment, education and/or active involvement of the visitor, generating supplemental income for the farm.” Activities can be educational, recreational and related to direct sales, including, but not limited to fi eld trips, farm tours, summer camp, workshops, weddings, B&B, farm stay, dinners, concerts, festivals, u-pick, farm stands, CSA.

Eligibility requirements:
• You reside or farm in Vermont
• You want your farm business to be a significant contributor to household income
• You are willing to share business planning details and financial statements during mentorship and for up to two years thereafter for the purposes of evaluating program effectiveness. All data is confi dential.

Guidelines:
• Completing application does not guarantee acceptance.
• Applications are accepted until filled.
• Expect a response within three weeks of submitting your application.
• Farms receiving planning support through Farm Viability, NOFA Vermont, Intervale Center, Land for Good and UVM Extension are still eligible to participate.
• Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to assessing and modifying their agritourism offerings and a willingness to designate adequate time to the effort.

 farms that offer a diversity of products
 applicants who demonstrate support from family, employees, and consultants for agritourism endeavor.
