All Members: Vote for Chapter President Elect Leanne Rupp: I completed my BSW at the University of Alabama in 2005 & my MSW at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work in 2006, & I then obtained my LCSW license in 2009. I have served as a Faculty member in the Graduate Medical Education program & the Social Worker at High Street Primary Care Center in Denver, CO since 2006. My career has focused on advocacy & resource provision for High Street’s patient population, while working to educate Resident physicians about community programs & integrated care. I am also passionate about advancing the profession of Social Work as a whole, previously participating as a member of the Practice Standards Committee from 2008-2012, & serving as Chair of the Legislative Committee since 2011. I was also selected as "Social Worker of the Year" by NASW-CO in 2011 after leading a successful Coalition of Mental Health Professionals during the 2010 Sunset Review of the CO Mental Health Statute. I have been a member of NASW since 2006 & am interested in serving in the role of President Elect/President of the CO Chapter because I believe that I can serve as a leader who is focused on continuing to make NASW accessible to members of all ages and practice specialties. I’m interested in specifically encouraging new social workers to connect to the organization for both comradery & professional support, & encouraging experienced social workers to contribute to the development of practice standards across specialties & participate in other meaningful mentorship opportunities. In December 2012, I received my MSW from Colorado State University and in June 2014 I earned my LSW. My recent professional and volunteer experiences have involved serving families in both the Child Welfare and Health Care systems and in the development/education of community outreach initiatives for the Aging population. That said, I am passionate about my current role as Board Secretary and helping to advocate for the mission of NASW’s Colorado Chapter. Likewise, it would be an honor to have the opportunity to continue to serve on the Board and for our social work community. Most importantly, I am hopeful and excited about NASW’s positive systemic changes and inspired by the commitment and knowledge of the NASW Staff, Board, and our members. Thank you for your support! Only Members in the Northern Region: Vote for Northern Region Representative Amber Franzel: As the Lead Long Term Care Ombudsman for the Larimer County Office on Aging, I help to uphold resident rights and promote person centered care for our frail elders. In the past, I have worked in a wide variety of settings: program development, mental health, developmental disabilities, adult protection, counseling centers, and sexual assault survivor services. I've had the chance to be in both direct care and in supervisory roles, working on the front lines and helping to shape the social workers of tomorrow. All of these positions have shaped me in the adaptive professional I am today. As a candidate for the Northern Region Representative, I hope to grow our NASW group to include a wide variety of social work professionals as well as provide educational and networking opportunities that are crucial to being an informed social worker and engaged community member. Only members in the Metro Denver Region: Vote for Metro Denver Representative Lesley Dally - I currently work at Craig Hospital as a Clinical Case Manager. I have worked at Craig Hospital for the last 5.5 years and thoroughly enjoy it. As a Clinical Case Manager my role is multifaceted and I have many opportunities to work in advocacy, education, discharge planning, management, and counseling. Because of my broad role within the Social Work profession I would like the opportunity to work with other local social workers to understand more about what’s going on with our profession and how we can support one another. I also anticipate enjoying planning learning opportunities, social events, and recruiting new members. No other candidate is running for this position. Done
