The School Health program in the South Dakota Departments of Education and Health is seeking applicants to serve on the South Dakota Physical Education Standards Review and Revision Committee. (The application will take approximately 5-7 minutes to complete and must be completed in one sitting.)
Representation from the following areas will be considered strong candidates for the committee.
~ K-12 Physical Education Instruction
~ K-12 Health Education Instruction
~ Curriculum and Instruction
~ Institutions of Higher Education
The South Dakota Physical Education Standards Review and Revision Committee meetings will be held in Pierre, SD on January 27-28, 2014 and February 24-25, 2014.
The South Dakota Department of Education will reimburse all committee members for mileage, meals, and lodging. School districts may also invoice the South Dakota Department of Education for substitute teachers hired to replace committee members during the school day.
