1. SBM PRESENTS THE 2014 Small Business Awards
SBM is now seeking nominations for its Small Business Awards, which honors the achievements and accomplishments of the thousands of small businesses (100 employees and less) throughout the bi-state area. Winners will be honored at a luncheon August 20 at the St. Louis Frontenac Hilton. The winners will also be featured in SBM's September edition. (Nomination Deadline: June 1)
Nominated companies must meet the following criteria:
-Must be headquartered in the STL metro area (100 mile radius from downtown)
-Must have between 1 and 100 employees (including owners)
-Company must be in business for at least 2 years.
-Company can be nominated by anyone, including clients, vendors, owner or employees.
-Winners of the past Small Business Awards may not be nominated.
The panel of judges will review the applicants and select the final 20 honorees according to the following:
-Financial stability
-Ability to overcome challenges
-Community involvement
-Unique business proposition
-Company vision
The more concrete examples and data companies provide will increase the likelihood of nomination.
