About Sports

On the next several pages you will be asked to select your anticipated activities for the 2014-2015 school year, by season. These are not your final commitments, but will help us gather information about your interests. Likewise, the list of available activities is only a starting point. There will also be a section where you can ask questions, provide additional feedback, and suggest offerings. Thanks in advance for your time!

INTERSCHOLASTIC SPORTS
Interscholastic Sports are offered for students committed to a competitive athletic experience. These programs develop sport-specific knowledge, skills, and fitness while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitive success. Teams compete in the West Bay Athletic League. Interscholastic teams practice at least 3 times per week after school from 3:30PM-5:15PM. Students are expected to attend all practice sessions and competitions, with the exception of illness or injury. Competitions are held 1-2 times per week and include offsite travel. Interscholastic Sports may also include pre and post-season practice and competitions.

CLUB SPORTS
Club sports are activities we do not yet offer in full collaboration with West Bay Athletic League, but still appeal to the student interested in an athletic experience. Club sports focus on sports specific skill and knowledge, working with peers, and building foundation competitive skills. While competitive opportunities can exist, they are less frequent than interscholastic teams.
