2015 IBA Producer Attitude Survey |
Illinois beef producers,
One reason I’m proud to serve as President of the Illinois Beef Association is that our organization is truly led by beef producers just like you and me. Our Board of Governors is made up of 14 Policy directors representing their local affiliates and various industry sectors. Our board also has 14 Checkoff directors elected by their fellow beef producers to represent seven districts across Illinois.
These beef producers come together to set priorities for our association and direct the programs which benefit our members and promote our product. This group also put a lot of work into the association’s 2014 Strategic Plan. One effort called for in that plan is IBA growing its role as an organization that’s responsive to the needs of all cattlemen in Illinois.
With that effort in mind, I encourage you to take a moment and fill out the enclosed survey. Your responses will help shape IBA’s program offering in the coming year. I hope this effort to solicit feedback from all cattlemen in Illinois becomes an annual event for our association.
Another reason for this survey is to gather additional feedback from you on how our Illinois Beef Checkoff could benefit you. IBA’s state and local leaders have already completed a petition drive calling for a statewide referendum to bring back our Illinois Beef Checkoff and that referendum is scheduled for February 2105. Voting in the referendum will be open to all beef producers and you’ll have multiple opportunities to cast your ballot. I hope you’ll VOTE YES so we can bring forward more programs to benefit producers and promote our product.
Sincerely,
Alan Adams
