Nonprofits, sign up for space at the 2015 Conscience Fair
The 2015 StarNews Media Conscience Fair will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, in Wendell Daniels Hall, on the fifth floor of Cape Fear Community College’s Union Station building, 502 N. Front St.
Nonprofits must bring their own tables; chairs will be available. Load-in is 8 to 9:30 a.m. that morning.
Nonprofit organizations will present information and can pass out materials about their programs and volunteer opportunities.
Doors at the Conscience Fair will open at 8 a.m. for setup. THERE IS NO CHARGE for nonprofit groups to present at the fair, but space is limited. We have room for about 100 organizations. Spaces will be assigned on a first-signup, first-served basis that morning.
Nonprofits must commit to staffing their tables for the entire 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. public hours. It's not fair to people who come toward the end to be greeted by empty spaces. No tables can be broken down until 2 p.m.
No food or drink, please.
For more information, contact Si Cantwell of the StarNews at (910) 343-2364 or firstname.lastname@example.org
YOU WILL NOT GET A CONFIRMATION EMAIL AFTER YOU SIGN UP.
Please don't email or call us asking to check if your signup went through. I just don't have time to respond to everybody individually and still get my work done at the newspaper. If you complete the four questions, you will be signed up. I'll post updated lists of successful signups at www.ConscienceOnline.com every few days, at least twice a week, and that's how you can check.
We need the following information from participating agencies. Please avoid mistakes in spelling, and give a phone number and e-mail address that the public can call for information about your organization. Be especially careful with the email addresses -- we can't contact you if you spell it incorrectly.
We will make the information available to the public.
