Austin Parks and Recreation Town Hall Survey on Programs

This survey corresponds to the Interactive Town Hall Meeting held by the Parks and Recreation Department on Thursday, August 14, 2014. If you were unable to attend the interactive meeting through one of its formats, we invite you to answer the questions and provide your input through this survey. We thank you for taking time to participate.

In 2011, we heard from you, our customers, that funding for programs needed to be prioritized in the following 4 ways:

1) Creating Community – Programs should foster a sense of community by bringing people together to participate in community events and citywide special events.

2) Holistic Youth Development – Programs should help youth develop skills that make them healthy well-adjusted productive adults.

3) Benefits Based Recreation – Programs should provide a measurable benefit to the neighborhood.

4) Adult Enrichment – Programs should provide opportunities for adults to participate in both new and established lifelong leisure opportunities.

The Interactive Town Hall meeting was designed to help us check in the public to see whether or not those priorities still make sense, whether they need to be tweaked, or whether they should be completely redone. Our staff will be looking at input received during the meeting and through this survey.

Again, thank you for your input.
