Welcome to the ASBA Annual Conference Presentation Submission Form.

Thank you for submitting a proposal for a breakout session for our annual conference.

The theme for this year's conference is "Our Students, Our Future."

All breakout sessions will be 50 minutes in length and will be scheduled for Thursday afternoon, December 11, 2014 or Friday morning, December 12, 2014. The information you provide will be used to contact you and for our conference log if your session is selected.

Your break-out sessions may address any of these 7 themes:
A. Enhanced equity, inclusion & excellence
B. Success stories using technology
C. Improved student achievement
D. Highly effective board practices
E. Improved district operations
F. Successful change or innovation
F. Collaboration with students, staff, parents or the community

DEADLINE for self-nomination: Friday, September 12, 2014.

REQUIREMENTS
We are seeking presenters who:
. Are either school board members or school district personnel
. Are extremely comfortable speaking extemporaneously in front of groups
. Do not read from PowerPoint slides or other material
. Utilize professional, quality materials, job aids and/or handouts
. Are available to present on either day of the conference (12/11/14 or 12/12/14)
. Actively engage their audience

We are seeking presentations that:
. Are relevant to the conference theme and enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities of board members and superintendents
. Share promising strategies and best practices that can be replicated by other districts of all sizes
. Demonstrate innovative ideas and solutions that have been in use for at least one full year
. Focus on specific information and positive results

NOTES
All participants are responsible for their own travel and expenses.

Participants should bring at least 75 copies of materials to share.
