Criteria: This award recognizes one outstanding NSGC member in good standing who has demonstrated leadership and/or exemplary achievements in cultural competency in genetic counseling.

Achievements may include, but are not limited to: increasing minority recruitment in the field genetic counseling, working with culturally diverse populations, providing multi-lingual genetic counseling services, coordinating/conducting research with underserved populations, developing/disseminating health literacy resources, making significant educational contributions to increase cultural awareness in the profession, and/or other activities.
Please note that if you are nominating someone other than yourself, you will be responsible for contacting the nominee to obtain the necessary materials to complete the nomination and you may submit the nominee's CV to awards@nsgc.org.
The nominee's CV/resume and the information submitted in the online questionnaire are key resources evaluated by the Awards Workgroup when making their decision. The Awards Workgroup reserves the right to contact anyone submitting a nomination for additional information.
