2014 Disclosure Update

Introduction

NOTE: Please do not submit a Disclosure Update unless you have submitted a complete Annual Disclosure or Initial Disclosure to the Office of Research Compliance.

In order to comply with the Office of Research Compliance’s Financial Conflicts of Interest Policy (ORC-003), researchers are required to submit a Disclosure Update within 30 days of discovering or acquiring a new significant financial interest. In the case of sponsored or reimbursed travel, the Disclosure Update must be submitted within 30 days of the trip end.

If a researcher is able to reasonably anticipate the occurrence of sponsored or reimbursed travel, they may disclose such travel up to twelve (12) months in advance of the trip. If a travel Disclosure Update becomes inaccurate, the researcher must submit a Disclosure Update within 30 days of the change.

A financial interest is anything of monetary value, easily determined or not, such as real estate, bank accounts, stock investments, memorabilia collections, property, etc.
