Young, Queer & Away from Home is a 2-year project centred on the lived experiences of LGBTIQ+ young people in the EU or in the UK who have to live away from their home (e.g. they were kicked out, ran away, had to stay in a shelter, etc.) before they turned 18. The goal of the project is to better understand what leads to these situations, how to prevent them, how to best support LGBTIQ+ young people and children experiencing or at risk of homelessness, and how to equip social services with the right tools to provide specific support related to LGBTIQ+ identities.

One of the project activities consists of mapping out available organisations and services for LGBTIQ+ young people and children who are (at risk of) experiencing homelessness (e.g. being kicked out, running away, etc.). This form aims to collect information about those organisations and services. Each of them will be uploaded to the Young, Queer & Away from Home Map, as well as in an accessible PDF document listing all available services and organisations.

You can request to add your organisation or service to the map through the form below if you:
  • Are based in a Council of Europe Member State (see full list), Russia, Belarus, or Kosovo.
  • Are one of the following:

    • 🌈 General LGBTIQ+ Organisations: Organisations who do not provide accommodation but can receive support requests and either support you or redirect you depending on your needs
    • 💬 116 111 Child Helplines: Free numbers offering general advice as well as support and counselling to young people.
    • ☎ 116 000 Missing Children Hotlines: Free numbers specifically for children, young people and adults calling for matters related to going missing.
  • Agree for your information to be publicly available on the map.
For any questions or to be removed from the map, please write to IGLYO’s Project & Events Officer Ale (They/She) at ale@iglyo.org.

Thank you for your support and commitment to helping LGBTIQ+ Communities!

Note: In the context of the project, children are defined as anyone under 18 years old.
