The session will include a warm-up and cooldown and will cover the boxing stance, footwork, and basic punches using shadow boxing, heavy bags, and more.Umbrella Boxing was established by Jesse (they/them), a non-binary, Indigenous leader who has been a part of the boxing community since 2010. The exclusion of binary-divided sports are known firsthand; however, so are the tremendous benefits of the physical and mental challenges that boxing presents! Jesse has held various roles, including class participant, boxing official, assistant trainer, and class leader all while earning their Bachelor of Physical and Health Education degree.
