Wild Species Working Group Native Survey

The attached native/wild species survey is sent to you by the Native/Wild Species Working Group. This group is made up of members of the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA), the Association of Official Seed Analysts (AOSA), and the Society of Commercial Seed Technologists (SCST). This group is an international group of seed analysts and seed physiologists focused on the testing of native/wild species from around the world. Seed testing rules have not kept up with the unique testing needs of these species. This survey is designed to help this working group understand how to test these species in a more meaningful way for the seed industry as well as those who purchase these species. It will also give us an idea of which species need immediate attention, and help prioritize our efforts. Our goal is to develop a Native/Wild Species Seed Testing Handbook which will help solve some of the testing issues we have today – methodology and developing testing protocols for those species in commerce.
