Writing Home with Sage (she/her)
On Wednesday June 3rd 6:00-8:30

Writing Home is an open creative space / accessible workshop for anyone who has been meaning to write, bead, draw, collage, or simply sit and connect. The space prompts you to understand and connect to your own versions of writing home. Write a letter to your grandma or your best friend, start a new project, finish the beading you’ve been carrying around, or make a mess with a stack of magazines. Your version of writing home is up to you.

Who is Sage?? Sage (she/her) is a queer mixed-Settler-Nêyihaw writer, research helper, and semi-retired drag queen. Sage is interested in collective storytelling through arts facilitation, Writing Home, is an invitation for each of us to tell our own stories of creation and belonging. Sage is of mixed settler, english, irish, and Treaty 8 nêhiyaw ancestry. She is Treaty registered to Sawridge First Nation and grew up between Edmonton, Alberta, where she was born and unceded Coast Salish Territory where she was raised. She now calls Winnipeg, Treaty 1, home.
