Call out for writers to attend Edinburgh TV Festival 2025

Screen Scotland is thrilled to once again be working in partnership with the Edinburgh TV Festival. The festival will be held at the EICC, with dates confirmed as Tuesday 19 to Friday 22 August 2025.

Screen Scotland is offering bursaries and passes to TV production companies in Scotland and writers based in Scotland with viable TV prospects.

Creative Scotland (CS) requires some personal information about you to consider your application. Without this information CS will be unable to provide you with a delegate pass. 6.Please provide a brief overview of your output and how you meet one of the following criteria as defined by the application guidance. This offer is open to Scotland-based writers who have either:
  • Professionally produced a theatre play  
  • Had a funded short film produced through competitive and editorially rigorous funding programme (which does not include crowdfunding)  
  • A project in development with a broadcaster 
  • At least one hour of broadcast TV credits

7.Please provide a strategic rationale for you attending the Edinburgh TV Festival and include the specific objectives you hope to achieve. This should include information about who you seek to meet, existing relationships, appropriate projects suitable to progress at ETVF, expected outcomes (please reference any previous TV Festival attendance too) and how you would deliver these outcomes:
