Survey by Scottish Trades Union Congress

The STUC is conducting research into the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire economy with a focus on the impact of local economic fluctuations on workers’ lives.  The purpose of this survey is to gather data on Aberdeen(shire) workers’ terms and conditions and experiences of work.

The answers to this survey will be used to inform an STUC research report on the experiences of workers in Aberdeen(shire) which will be published in Summer 2019. This survey will also inform a wider piece of research into the Aberdeen(shire) economy which will be published in early 2020.

This survey will take around 15 minutes to complete.

Question Title

* 1. Personal Data and Consent
The survey data will only be accessed by the STUC research team- which consists of STUC staff members and two appointed academics, Catia Montagna, Professor of Economics, University of Aberdeen, and Hassan Molana, Professor of Economics, University of Dundee.  

Survey responses will be anonymised in the research report, but some quotes may be used. Other personal information, for example gender, is collected for equality monitoring purposes. In order to complete this survey, you will needto tick the 'yes' box below to consent to sharing your data with the STUC research team in order to complete this survey.  If you tick the 'no' box, below, you will be unable to complete the survey. 

Should you change your mind once you have completed and submitted your survey, you can revoke your consent at any time by calling us on 0141 337 8100 or email by contacting info@stuc.org.uk. We will hold your details and your survey responses for one year. We will destroy all raw data within two years, on completion of the research project. We will not contact you unless you wish to be contacted to take part in the focus groups.
