Expressions of interest – Wider local studies lightning talks 2025

The wider local studies seminar will be held on 10 and 11 June 2025.

You are invited to complete an expression of interest (EoI) to present a lightning talk at this seminar.
  • Purpose - to share your local studies experiences, challenges and wins,
  • Length - each talk will run for 10 minutes including Q&A and contain up to 20 slides.
  • Sessions will be recorded and made available online.
  • By submitting this EoI you are agreeing to be recorded if your lightning talk is accepted.

The Wider Local Studies planning group will evaluate each EoI. All people who submit an expression of interest will be contacted about their success or otherwise. Completing an EoI does not guarantee that your lightning talk will be accepted.


Wider local studies seminar 10 and 11 June sessions will run:
  • 9.00am to 1.30pm AWST
  • 10.30am to 3.00pm ACST
  • 11.00am to 3.30pm AEST
Bookings will open in late April. Sessions will be recorded and made available online.
