2020 VOLUNTEER REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN
Please Note: The 2020 Wildcount season has commenced and initial volunteer recruitment has been finalised. If you would like to be on the reserve list, please fill out the survey below, indicating your availability, and you may be contacted should a suitable week open up. You will also be added to the contact list for future volunteering opportunities with WildCount.
WildCount is a broadscale monitoring program, established in 2012 to detect long-term changes in the distribution of common species such as wombats, possums and wallabies. From late February to June, volunteers assist staff monitoring 200 sites across the national parks and reserves of NSW. As a volunteer, you will have an opportunity to work alongside staff in remote places, rarely seen by visitors. Field trips run from Monday to Friday with all meals, motel-style accommodation and transport provided during the week.
