Expression of Interest to play Indoor with Waverley 2021 Term 4

All age groups EXCEPT U18 pennant level team are FULL.

You may still fill in the survey but we cannot guarantee a spot.

We will advise confirmed teams by mid September.

Waverley Junior’s Deadline for indicating interest in playing indoor is: Friday 23 August. Expressions of interest after this date may not be able to be accommodated.

Any player wishing to play out of age group (eg eligible for U15s but wants to play U18s) must put their request and reasons into writing to Junior Unit President Nikki Gerling via nikkigerling4@gmail.com

There will be two types of Indoor in term 4 2019:

1. "Indoor Season" Club vs Club rounds each week at Dandenong or MSAC

2. One weekend per age group "State Club Championships"

Details are yet to be confirmed by Hockey Victoria and will be sent out to all players who express interest to confirm you are wanting to lock in a place once details (days / times) are known.

Age group is the players age on the 31/12/2018 (so same as the winter season). For example to be eligible for U13s a player must have been 12 years or under on 31/12/2018. Only difference to winter is the ages are the even age groups.

Please note :

1. Shield level in outdoor does not mean a player will be in an Indoor team at the same level.

2. Players prior indoor experience will be used to allocate them to teams.

3. All Shield teams will be capped at 9-10 players maximum . U18s is an exception (due to exams etc usually carry a bigger bench).

4. Club Championships is not suitable for new to indoor or players with limited indoor experience, players who have played Shield level indoor will be given priority.

Players from other clubs are welcome to play indoor for Waverley however preference will be given to Waverley players to ensure all Waverly players are allocated to a team. Please note this only applies to players who indicate their interest within the timeframes published so that team entries and selection can occur within Hockey Victoria's deadlines. Players who decide "late" to join will be subject to space being available regardless of which club they usually play for.
