WebMD editors have recognized inspiring and accomplished people of all ages with the WebMD Health Hero Award for the work they’ve done to improve health, wellness and the quality of care in America for the past 11 years. This year, we could use your help as the editors seek to honor a New Generation of Health Heroes—one young person under the age of 21 in each of the following categories: Investigator, Advocate, and InventorThis isn’t the first time we’ve honored young people with the WebMD Health Hero Award. We encourage you to check out video profiles of past honorees Trisha Prabhu, Kenneth Shinozuka and Zarin Ibnat Rahman.
The company will also present a new award, Medscape Mentor of the Year, to a medical professional of any age who is an outstanding role model for tomorrow’s leaders. This individual will be chosen by Medscape’s editors.
Submissions are due by Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Health Hero Award Winners will be featured online and in a future issue of WebMD Magazine
