Join Wawa in reducing food waste by piloting FoodCycler technology in your home!

To encourage at home composting, the Municipality of Wawa is partnering with FoodCycle Science to host a pilot program for Wawa residents. The FoodCycler countertop composting system is still available to purchase.

The pilot program is subsidized by Impact Canada/Federal Government and the Municipality of Wawa. The Municipality has secured one hundred (100) units for purchase for Wawa residents at highly reduced prices.

Residents must purchase a unit, track the number of cycles completed by the unit over a 12 week period on the provided tracking sheet and complete an exit survey at the end of the program.

In the event that more than 100 participants send payment before the sale is closed, those that did not qualify will be contacted and refunded the full amount.

To participate in the pilot program and guarantee your unit you must:

Step 1: Be a Full Time Wawa Resident
Step 2: Complete the Registration Form
Step 3: Submit Payment to the Municipality of Wawa

There are only 100 units available with one unit permitted for purchase per household.
You must submit payment to guarantee your unit.

Cost:
FC-30 Unit - $150 + HST (19.50) = $169.50 (Regular Price: $500)
Eco 5 Unit - $300 + HST (39.00) = $339.00 (Regular Price: $800)

In Person:
Visit the Municipal Office (40 Broadway Avenue) to pay in person with cash, cheque, debit/credit.

Shipping and Pickup:
Delivery is set to occur approximately end of March. Units will be delivered to 40 Broadway Avenue, and registrants will be contacted for pick up.

Your unit is only reserved once payment has been confirmed.
