With support from the Great Lakes One Water Partnership, a coalition of community foundations is coordinating the Water First initiative, a collaborative effort to support communities and partners in understanding and taking action on innovative water policies and green infrastructure solutions.
The Manistee Community Foundation, the Grand Traverse Area Community Foundation, Leelanau Township Community Foundation, Charlevoix Area Community Foundation, and the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Community Foundation are working with regional partner Networks Northwest to design and deliver a program that will emphasize water as a first priority in local policies, programs, and projects.
Stakeholders and members of the public are invited to participate to provide more information about the proposal and local needs. Your input will be used to further refine the proposal and subsequent activities.
