Council is reviewing operations at each of its recycling and waste transfer facilities at Berry, Kangaroo Valley, Callala, Sussex Inlet, Bendalong, Lake Conjola and Kioloa. These facilities are currently not cost effective, having been heavily subsidised by the gate fee at the main waste facility (West Nowra).

We would like Shoalhaven property owners and customers of each transfer facility to have input into the review before any decisions are made. The options put forward are to reduce operational losses and the cross subsidy from the West Nowra gate fee.
Alternative sites for recycling and waste facilities are at West Nowra, Huskisson and Ulladulla and are continuing to operate at current service levels.
Please complete this on-line survey to assist Council in finding an acceptable balance between reducing the costs of operation and maintaining a viable and sustainable community service.
Completed surveys are due by 30 June 2016. The results will be published on Council's website in August 2016.
