Wareena Park Master Plan

The Rural City of Wangaratta are currently developing a master plan for the Wareena Park Precinct.

This precinct covers Wareena Oval, Coronation Kinder, Wareena Park Bowls Club, Ed Tippett Pavilion and the Olympic Pool site.

The Wareena Park Master Plan will ensure that the future sport, recreation and community needs of the precinct are identified and planned in an integrated manner. In 2015, Council endorsed the Wangaratta Aquatic Plan for the Future which identified that the Olympic Pool would cease operating once construction of the new outdoor pool at the Wangaratta Indoor Sports and Aquatic Centre was completed. A key objective of this Master Plan is to identify the future use of the Olympic Pool site to ensure that a clear direction forward once the pool closes.
