Greetings

SBCTC is seeking a potential discipline or course in professional technical (proftech) programs that could benefit by the development of open textbook. Open textbooks or OER are the copyright cleared materials provided for free public use.

Specifically, we need your recommendation on what course could be a good candidate for our first open textbook pilot in proftech program. Ideally, such course would be: 
  • Text/reading dependent
  • At the entry level
  • Lacking affordable course material options
  • Commonly enrolled throughout the WA colleges
