Derby City Council and Southern Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (SDCCG) are launching a consultation programme to inform decisions on the future funding for a range of Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations, and this may affect the funding for local services. A list of the services considered in this consultation is at the end of this questionnaire.

The Council is predicting significant cuts in the funding it receives in the future from Central Government and anticipates that this will create a gap between the funding available and cost of providing services to local people. One of the options being considered by the Council is to reduce or cease the funding it provides for discretionary, none statutory services within the VCS. This consultation process is part of the Big Conversation the Council has re-launched to gather the comments of local people and partners to inform the difficult decisions the Council needs to make to balance its budget in the next three years.

The decision on future funding will be informed by:
• information from the consultation,
• an equalities impact assessment of the proposed changes to funded services
• monitoring and other information provided by the organisations affected
• how VCS organisations might support the updated outcomes for preventative services that the Council and SDCCG consulted on in January 2015

Southern Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (SDCCG) is working in partnership with the Council on the consultation process to ensure that any possible changes to local services are fully understood and any future funding it provides for VCS services will meet SDCCG priorities.

You will find a list of services that may be affected on the next two pages.
