Multi-family homes include shared walls that have unique fire and soundproofing requirements.  Several years ago, we discontinued the phenolic boxes in our Carlon® nonmetallic box line. These boxes were fire-rated for shared wall installations and met the code requirement for multi-family homes. This discontinuation led to a perceived gap in our portfolio.
