With the announcement that the City of Manhattan's Parks & Recreation Department will not host in-person summer camps in 2020, Sunset Zoo is pursuing a virtual summer camp option for families.  We are currently planning to utilize continuous learning plans or our regional schools as models for our virtual camps.  However, we are also looking to push the envelope a little in regards to time limits.  Here are the components we are planning to include at this point: (1) live and prerecorded video interaction, (2) instructions to performs self-led activities, (3) daily feedback/comments provided by staff, (4) optional extension activities that would provide families additional structured things to do.  To ensure we are meeting the needs of our regional community with this new opportunity, we would greatly appreciate your input.
