NOMINATION STATEMENTS

John Molineux, FAHRI
I have over thirty years’ experience as a HR manager, practitioner, trainer and strategist in several organisations. Since 2010 I have been an academic at Deakin, teaching HRM to MBA students.  With AHRI, I have been a Councillor for six years, set-up and coordinated the Diversity and Work-life balance network, and been involved in a wide range activities, including mentoring HR professionals. At this year’s AHRI Convention, I presented the findings of my research project with AHRI and Dr Adam Fraser on HR roles and psychological resilience. I am particularly interested in the ongoing development and professionalism of AHRI members.

Jane Tighe, CAHRI
I am a 30 year old female and currently in the role of Human Resources Manager Asia Pacific for Chromaflo Technologies, a global pigment dispersions manufacturer. I am successfully and enjoyably running all HR activities for the Asia Pacific region (Australia, China, Malaysia, Thailand, India and South Africa). I pride myself on my professionalism and would like to actively contribute to the HR Industry by joining the AHRI State Council for Victoria. I see this as an opportunity to make a real difference in my field and also inspire new upcoming HR professionals to reach their goals.

Lisa Hobson, CAHRI
I am a commercially minded HR professional with experience across Federal Government, Not for Profit, Financial Services and Professional Services industry sectors. As a HR generalist my key strengths are relationship building, communication, collaboration, strategic and analytical thinking and application.  I would like the opportunity to continue as a Victorian Councillor as I want to continue to support AHRI in helping HR professionals build sustainable organisations via their people. I am also very passionate about improving the brand awareness of AHRI and building a stronger virtual presence for the AHRI networks.

Hayley Breen, CAHRI
I bring over 15 years' experience as a human resources practitioner, people manager and project manager and have worked in both not-for-profit and private sector environments. I have experience across a range of HR areas. I genuinely enjoy delivering HR solutions and will bring a positive and down to earth style to the Victorian State Council.  HR is at the precipice of becoming a highly sort after career path to the C suite and above.  I am a strong advocate for the Certification of HR professionals across our country which will enable those that have the necessary skills and attributes to be able to make a visible and measurable difference to organisations.

Matthew Connell, CAHRI
Matt Connell, CAHRI, is a Human Resource professional with over 10 years’ experience in HR leadership positions in the not for profit/community sector as well as local government, hospitality and tourism. Matt is an active member of Geelong’s AHRI regional network group and has a passion for building organisational capability by facilitating leadership development programs in the workplace. Matt has presented for AHRI on Emotional Intelligence in a regional forum and has been an AHRI mentor for a number of years. He values industry knowledge and best practice HR in his current Executive Director People & Culture position.
Renee Robson, MAHRI
Renée is an active member of AHRI, participating in programs such as; mentoring, networking events and being a Guest Blogger for the 2015 National Convention. Renée is active on social media and established the People People Catch Up group (a monthly networking community), blogs at www.engagelearnbuild.com and collaborates globally through Twitter (@ReneeRoberz).  As a Senior HR Business Partner with YMCA Victoria Renée is dedicated to the long-term success of HR as a key business collaborator – believing that looking after people is critical to driving change and innovation.  Renée is an ardent supporter of ongoing professional development and has come from a joint HR/L&D background.

Sandra Hutchins, CAHRI
I am passionate about our workforces reflecting the diverse make up of our communities.  There is still much to do in increasing the workplace participation of our indigenous communities, and those with a disability.  We need to do more to support mental health in the workplace.  I am a commercially minded HR professional with extensive experience across the spectrum of HR, acquired in global organisations.  As a current serving AHRI Councillor (Vic) I hope to continue to be part of the journey to influence our employers thinking in leading practice in these areas.

Denise O’Brien, CAHRI
I am a practical hands-on HR professional who enjoys aligning HR with the achievement of business strategy.  15 years’ experience at a senior HR level, the last as HR Manager on Mt Buller, has given me a cultural understanding of all things HR – past, present and future!  Understanding what motivates individuals, finding the right opportunity for them, then growing them to achieve their potential is why I am so passionate about Human Resources.  I pride myself on making progress, achieving outcomes (through myself and others) and have influence at all levels of the business.  I am passionate about innovating to make the employee experience the best it can be.

Sue Ellson, MAHRI
Sue Ellson BBus AIMM MAHRI CDAA ASA has been an AHRI Member since 2006 and the Convenor for the Victorian International Human Resources Network from 2007 – 2014. In March 2014, she was co-opted on to the Victorian Council and at the AHRI Leaders Dinner on 19 August 2014 was awarded an AHRI Medal for her contribution to AHRI and the HR Profession. Sue believes HR provides opportunities to individuals and organisations both locally and internationally. Pam MacDonald, CAHRI
Pam Macdonald has been actively involved in the AHRI mentoring program since its inception and is a consulting HR professional who has experience including Head of Organisation Development and Culture with Bendigo Bank and Manager Human Performance Consulting with Accenture. Pam provides strategic HR advice to companies that are too small to have a senior HR professional on staff and also sub contracts to VECCI to deliver some training and conduct investigations and mentoring. With a passion for people and performance, Pam is based in Bendigo and splits her business and personal time between Melbourne and Bendigo.
Mark Karlovic, MAHRI
I have decided to nominate as an AHRI State Council Member and ask for your support.  I would like to make a positive contribution to AHRI to ensure HR practitioners get the benefits of AHRI membership. I work and live in Ballarat.  AHRI’s HR Certification program is a turning point in professionalising HR practitioners and their capability and the recent AHRI National Conference was a great success.  I hope if I were to join the council we can make it even better in the years ahead.  I have worked in Senior HR roles for 15 years.

Celia Pollard, CAHRI

I’ve been HR Director at Public Transport Victoria since its inception in 2012 following more than 20 years’ experience as an industrial relations and human resources practitioner.  I’ve held leadership positions in the higher education, health and transport sectors, but more important is that I’m about making a positive difference to the lives of working people.  We spend so much time at work, my passion is making it meaningful and rewarding for everyone that does it.  This is at the heart of what makes great organisations and it’s this passion for HR that I will bring to the AHRI Council.

Anne Reeves, CAHRI
Anne is a highly qualified and experienced HR leader with significant inter-personal and professional abilities.  Anne has worked extensively within the areas of leadership, motivating and coaching emerging and established leaders to model organisational values.  Proven excellence in the execution of human resource strategies and building highly effective employee engagement practices.  Notable achievements include the operationalisation of HR across 31 offices and 1000+ employees; winning awards for people programs delivered; creation of a wellbeing function and embedding a values driven culture across diverse working groups.  Anne is focussed on the alignment of HR to the organisation’s strategy through people.
