County of Ventura SEIU 721 members,

Through our unity and participation, we won a strong contract in 2023, and have worked hard to protect our contract wins.

Our contract expires on December 18, 2025, and it’s time to gear up for bargaining. We need your input on this survey so our elected bargaining team can review our priorities and formulate proposals.

PUBLIC WORKS BARGAINING TABLE SUPPLEMENTAL SURVEY ITEMS
a. There should be emergency responder pay for emergencies/natural disasters.
b. There is a pressing need for hazard pay for the dangerous work we do.
c. There should be incentives bonuses to help with retention based on years served.
d. There needs to be a large increase in clothing/shoe stipends.
e. There should be additional pay for those holding job-related licenses beyond those that are required.
f. Members are often required to train new employees and they should be paid extra to do so.
