On July 7th Pokémon GO was released in the US. The augmented reality (AR) game has been a fascinating phenomenon, with both positive and negative consequences. For museums, historic sites, galleries, parks, and other landmarks and places of interest, it has been particularly interesting. Because the game encourages players to visit certain locations (Pokéstops and Gyms) to earn points (PokéBalls), etc., many museums have seen changes in visitation, audience, and audience behavior. The purpose of this short, seven-question survey is to get a sense of the trend across the Virginia museum community. Thanks in advance for your response.
