Introduction

As part of the Hazard Simplification (Haz Simp) effort, the National Weather Service (NWS) is exploring a potential change to the way certain Warnings are updated. Specifically, it’s proposed that these Warnings be updated with the same product as the initial Warning, rather than through a separate Statement. This would impact the Severe Weather Statement, Flash Flood Statement, Flood Statement, and Marine Weather Statement.

The following survey provides more detail on this proposal. NWS is asking that you review the material and take a few moments to share your thoughts. Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey and we appreciate your valuable feedback!
