Thank you for your interest in the Unpuzzling: Foodtech Ontario program. Unpuzzling is a 12-week mentorship and peer cohort program designed to help early-stage foodtech ventures in southern Ontario accelerate commercialization, strengthen business skills, and connect with customers, partners, and investors. The program features weekly expert-led sessions, personalized mentorship, 1:1 IP support, pitch coaching, and access to CFIN’s innovation scouting, matchmaking services, and a private community on CFIN’s digital community platform, YODL. The program has a cost of $750 per firm, charged upon acceptance to the program.
Unpuzzling: Foodtech Ontario is a collaborative initiative led by the Canadian Food Innovation Network (CFIN) and funded in part by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).
Ideal participants are leaders and founders of foodtech firms based in southern Ontario and currently doing less than $5M in annual sales. For this program, CFIN defines food technology as B2B solutions (technology, equipment, or ingredients) with their primary application in food processing, food distribution, foodservice, and grocery retail.
