Be part of The University Avenue Project by Wing Young Huie ...an extraordinary public exhibition along the length of University Avenue in Saint Paul. Offer your streetfront window or building wall as part of this six-mile gallery from May 1 - October 31, 2010.

500 photographs taken by Wing over the past 3 years reveal the of complext cultural, social and economic realities of people who live, work and go to school along this urban corridor. Photographs will be exhibited in store windows and on buildings and will be projected at night onto large outdoor screens. The exhibition will be attract thousands of visitors to University Avenue and will be widely publicized regionally, nationally and worldwide.

Participating businesses and institutions be listed in a website directory with links to their sites and will be named in marketing and a 2-issue magazine to be published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press.

The University Avenue Project website (www.theuniversityavenueproject.com) will receive thousands of hits per day during the course of the exhibition and will be linked to websites of the City of Saint Paul, Public Art Saint Paul, and the University Avenue Business Association, and many others.


The University Avenue Project is presented by Public Art Saint Paul, with major support from a Joyce Award of the Joyce Foundation, facilitation of the City of Saint Paul and the University Avenue Business Association, and funding from the Saint Paul Foundation, Travelers Foundation, F.
