Peer Mentor Application

The TRIO SSS program is looking for 2 peer mentors for the 2022-2023 school year.

The TRIO SSS program has benefited tremendously from developing a Peer Mentor Program. Peer mentors act as the voice of TRIO on campus by participating in classroom visits, facilitating events, helping their peers navigate questions about the college experience, providing support and encouragement, maintaining the office, and having fun.

Requirements- Students must have at least one term as an active TRIO SSS participant to be eligible and maintain a 2.75 gpa or higher. An in person interview will be required for selected applicants prior to hire. Peer mentors work 5 hours weekly on campus and attend a quarterly training.

Initial training will occur during the months of July and August. Additionally, peer mentors will assist in a TRIO orientation for new students in September.
