Tell us what you think!

Overview:

We have a solid vision, guiding principles and some property names for the Treaty Land Use Plan (TLUP)!  We want to know if we interpreted your input correctly in terms of the vision and guiding principles and property names that came through the first phase of Member engagement earlier this year.  We also have some high level policy directions based on Member input that we'd like you to weigh in on.

The Treaty Land Use Plan is intended to be in place pre-Treaty to prepare Kitselas for management of potential Treaty Settlement Lands. Whether or not Treaty is passed, this plan will help ensure the Nation has a framework in place to guide management of Kitselas lands and resources.

What are Kitselas Lands?
Kitselas Lands refers to any land held by Kitselas, including the approximately 36,000 hectares of land that is proposed to be transferred within the Treaty Settlement Area as part of the Final Agreement, if Treaty is passed. Reserve Lands as well as land owned by Kitselas that is not part of Treaty negotiations would also be managed under this plan.
