About the Project
The Trans Thrive Project aims to understand the resilience and mental health impact, undertake a situational analysis of transphobic incidents against trans and gender diverse identities to understand the nature and extent of violence including verbal, mental, physical violence and practices of conversion therapy, review the current protective legislative and policy framework, identify entry points for legislative and policy advocacy to tackle the problem, and deconstruct multiple bias motivations. This project endeavors to bring attention to transphobic violence in the Asia Pacific region into the mainstream knowledge. We hope that this project will inspire change and support our efforts to combat discrimination nationally and regionally.
