Transportation is vital to the Kansas City economy. Our businesses rely on state and local transportation systems to get workers to jobs, bring visitors to the region, and deliver products and services to markets. Seated at the center of the nation, our region enjoys a natural logistics advantage with outstanding access to rail lines, waterways and relatively uncongested highways.

As a region, we face big challenges and emerging opportunities. For example, our transit system doesn’t get most workers to their jobs easily, and there’s an increasing need to find alternative ways to fund or finance transportation improvements. The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce has named Transportation as the newest Big 5 Initiative, and will be examining how the regional transportation system can improve for our businesses and residents. We need your help - please share your thoughts and priorities regarding key transportation issues by answering this short, confidential survey (it should take approximately 10 minutes to complete). And, feel free to forward the survey to others in your company who may have direct knowledge of transportation issues. Thank you!
