Built a bike cage at Toronto Rehab, Lyndhurst & Rumsey Centres (get your free key)

Secured a 25% discount on Bike Share Toronto memberships for ALL UHN staff and volunteers

Improved the Toronto Western bike cage and added more bike racks to Michener Institute, Bickle Centre, Toronto General

4. Electric Vehicles (EVs) don't emit the Greenhouse Gases that cause Climate Change (unlike their gas-burning cousins), but may be more expensive up front. What helps make EVs cost-effective too? (select all that apply). Hints here and here (Required.)

UHN has over 50 EV charging stations at no extra cost other than parking. Find them at Toronto General, Toronto Western, and Toronto Rehab Lyndhurst & Rumsey.

Electricity to power the car is a tiny fraction of gas costs (likely more so in future)

Ultra-low overnight electricity pricing is 11 PM - 7 AM, 1/10 the cost of peak hours! making charging an EV overnight even cheaper

Standard EVs can also fly

EVs have much lower maintenance costs (no oil changes, no engine to maintain, fewer moving parts)

Federal Government grant up to $5000 to buy or lease a Zero-Emissions Vehicle (ZEV), and other provinces give even more on top (QB does another 7K!).

Save time by not going to a gas station. EV drivers often charge at home overnight or while they work. If you need a charge, lots available on this map.
