Training company of the year criteria:
  1. The nominated training company must be a registered and accredited provider of scaffolding, access, or rigging training programs in New Zealand.
  2. The training company must have demonstrated a commitment to the development and advancement of professionals in the scaffolding, access, and rigging industry.
  3. The training company must have a proven track record of delivering high-quality training programs that meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  4. The training company must demonstrate innovation in its training programs and delivery methods, showing a commitment to enhancing the learning experience for trainees.
  5. The training company must prioritize safety standards within its training programs, ensuring that trainees are equipped with the knowledge and skills to work safely in the scaffolding, access, and/or rigging industry.
  6. The training company must foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among its trainees, providing opportunities for ongoing learning and skill enhancement.
  7. The training company must demonstrate leadership within the scaffolding, access, and/or rigging industry, actively participating in industry initiatives, partnerships, or advocacy efforts.
  8. The training company must have a positive reputation within the industry, as evidenced by testimonials, references, or industry awards.
  9. Should your company be selected as a finalist, you will be required to undergo a workplace evaluation facilitated by the judging panel as part of the judging process. The evaluation will take no more than two hours and will be online. Applicants must make themselves available for this.
  10. The training company must be in good standing with relevant regulatory bodies and accrediting organizations, with no disciplinary actions or compliance issues.
  11. The training company must be willing to participate in promotional activities associated with the award, including but not limited to interviews, case studies, and industry events.
These eligibility criteria ensure that the Training Company of the Year award is open to organizations that have demonstrated excellence in training provision, safety standards, innovation, and industry leadership within the scaffolding, access, and rigging sector in New Zealand.

Judging Process:

  • After the initial entries are evaluated, finalists will be selected.
  • The trainer (or account manager) for the apprentice/trainee will be contacted as a reference to support the application.
