Eligibility criteria for the Trainee of the Year award:
  1. The nominee must be currently enrolled in or have recently completed an apprenticeship program in scaffolding, access, or rigging.
  2. The nominee must be actively engaged in their training and demonstrate a commitment to learning and professional development.
  3. The nominee must have a record of exemplary performance in their training program, including but not limited to attendance, participation, and completion of coursework or practical assessments.
  4. The nominee must adhere to all safety standards and regulations relevant to the scaffolding, access, and rigging industry.
  5. The nominee must exhibit strong technical proficiency and skill in scaffolding, access, and rigging tasks, as demonstrated through practical assessments or on-the-job performance evaluations.
  6. The nominee must demonstrate leadership potential within their team or organization, showing initiative, teamwork, and effective communication skills.
  7. The nominee must be in good standing with their training provider and employer, with no disciplinary issues or concerns regarding their conduct or performance.
  8. The nominee must be willing to participate in promotional activities associated with the award, including but not limited to interviews, photoshoots, and public events.
  9. Should your nominee be selected as a finalist, the nominator will be required to undergo an online interview facilitated by the judging panel as part of the judging process. The evaluation will take no more than 30 minutes and will be online. Nominators must make themselves available for this.
These eligibility criteria ensure that the Trainee of the Year award is open to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, skill, and professionalism in their pursuit of excellence in the scaffolding, access, and rigging industry, while also currently being active participants in their apprenticeship program.

Judging Process:

  • After the initial entries are evaluated, finalists will be selected.
  • The trainer (or account manager) for the apprentice/trainee will be contacted as a reference to support the application.
