In honour of the late Terry Effeney, one of Australian energy industry’s greatest contributors, API along with The Effeney Family, Ergon Energy & Energex (as part of the Energy Queensland Group), have created the T.J Effeney Award.

The Award is to support API Bursary Students to undertake a project or program of study in the Energy Sector either domestically or internationally.

API is calling applications for the Award, which would provide a stipend of up to $20,000. This Award is available to existing API Bursary Holders within their final 2 years of study.
 
AWARD JUDGING CRITERIA:
The award selection criteria (based on the values and strengths Terry displayed during his career) are:

1. How the proposal will broaden the students knowledge and skills in the energy sector
2. How the proposal will increase the personal network of contacts for the student
3. How the student plans to share the knowledge gained from the award with other students and the broader API Bursary cohort.

TO APPLY:
Students are to upload a 2-4 page proposal below outlining the training program they wish to undertake including travel costs (overseas or nationally) explaining the initiative/s that are proposed to enhance professional development.
