Turn Your Practice Around Within Three Months!
The Georgia Academy of Family Physicians is launching a new, innovative, CME-approved practice transformation project that focuses on helping family medicine practices increase reimbursements by identifying under-used codes and procedures, and counts as an American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) Self-Directed Performance Improvement Activity where you earn up to 20 points towards your overall 50-point activity requirement.

Participants will attend two one-day workshops (held three months apart) on Coding and Documentation and complete a rapid cycle improvement project related to workshop material. The sessions will be led by practice transformation experts from Leadership in Practice and longtime GAFP partner and coding expert, Steve Adams.

Over the three-month learning cycle, practices will implement changes that will improve outreach to their patients and increase the financial well-being of their practices. At least one physician and one staff member with billing responsibilities should attend each session.

Registration:  The registration fee for this pilot project is $500 per practice.  Your fee will be reimbursed to you at the completion of the 3-month Thrive Project IF your practice team attends BOTH workshops and the interim-consultative conference calls with the Thrive Team in week one AND month two.

Each practice team consists of (at least) one physician and a staff member with billing/coding responsibilities.  We will accept up to four (maximum) participants from each practice. All family physicians in approved practices must be active AAFP/GAFP members.

This project is limited to approved practices (up to 7 for each collaborative) and final confirmation and registration information will be sent to accepted practice participants.
