Montshire Teen Corps Application |
What is the Montshire Teen Corps all about?
Join the Montshire team this summer as a Teen Corps member — a new student volunteer and community service program at the Museum!
The Montshire Teen Corps is designed for teens who want to work closely with Museum staff while exploring science with our visitors. Summer 2016 Teen Corps work will focus on the Museum's new Tinkering Loft exhibit area. Here you will share your playfulness, wisdom, and energy supporting staff and visitors doing science and engineering through our whimsical and popular tinkering activities. Successful candidates will be member of a 8-10 person Corps composed of teens from throughout the Upper Valley.
Commitment and Expectations:
We expect each teen member to commit a minimum of 10 days of volunteer work over a two-week period, including one weekend day. You will be assigned either a 9:30 am–1:30 pm shift, or a 1:00 pm–5:00 pm shift. We are looking for teens excited about science and engineering who enjoy working with people, are responsible, super curious, and generally awesome to hang out with.
Age Requirements:
You must be entering your sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school, or your first year of college in the fall of 2016.
